Advanced Three-Zone Ventilation Technology
The PATHOLYSIS R+S incorporates a specially engineered extraction system designed to capture potentially hazardous vapors during tissue examination and dissection.
1. Downdraft Ventilation
Extraction through perforated stainless-steel plates captures formaldehyde vapors directly from the working surface.
2. Backdraft Ventilation
Rear-mounted extraction openings provide additional vapor capture across the working area.
3. Base Cabinet Ventilation
Continuous extraction from the lower compartment helps prevent chemical vapor accumulation within the cabinet.
This integrated ventilation concept supports controlled airflow, effective vapor capture, and reduced operator exposure.
Intelligent Touchscreen Control System
The modern touchscreen interface provides convenient control and monitoring of essential workstation functions.
Functions Include:
Ventilation operation and airflow adjustment
LED illumination control
Workstation height adjustment
Automated guillotine glass operation
Operational status monitoring
Optional formaldehyde monitoring integration
Formaldehyde Monitoring System
An optional integrated formaldehyde sensor enables continuous monitoring of airborne formaldehyde concentrations.
Visual and audible alarms notify laboratory personnel when the configured threshold is reached.
Formaldehyde Alarm Setpoint: 0.5 ppm
This system provides additional exposure awareness and supports laboratory safety procedures.
Efficient Rinsing & Drainage System
The integrated rinsing system facilitates fluid and residue removal from the downdraft working area.
